Living in a picturesque seaside village like Portmahomack, in the highlands of Scotland, is very inspirational to an artist. There is the character of the old harbour with it's collection of fishing boats and leisure craft, the historical richness of the Picts and Vikings who inhabited these shores in times past, the sandstone houses and cottages, and the beautiful sandy beach. Portmahomack is quite unique in that it is an east coast village which faces west over the Dornoch Firth and because of this it has some of the most fantastic sunsets you will ever see. There is the lighthouse at Tarbatness which is the second-highest in Scotland, and there is of course the wonderful wildlife which abounds in this area - dolphins, seals, otters, fish, seabirds, etc. Sheelagh Sparkes Sheelagh is a uniquely talented Artist whose imaginative and creative ability capture the village of Portmahomack from a stunning series of varied perspectives and styles. She produces the majority of these images for greetings cards and some for notelets. All come cellophane wrapped ready for re-sale or immediate use. She also undertakes commissions for large pictures and signs. For more information contact Sheelagh on - Telephone No: 01862 871383 or E-mail: shekaprint@tiscali.co.uk
